Siemens has extended its range of Sitop modular power supplies to include the new Sitop PSU200M, which is designed for major space savings in the control cabinet. The new unit provides a reliable 24 Volt power supply, permits universal connection to 1-phase or 3-phase networks, and offers improved energy efficiency at an impressive 91 percent.
The new product is available in a robust metal housing in a 5 and a 10 Ampere version. With its ultra widerange input, the new power supply can be operated both in 1-phase networks from 120 to 230 Volts and also at 2 phases of a 3-phase network with a nominal voltage of between 230 and 500 Volts. This versatility makes it suited for mains connection practically anywhere in the world.
The new power supply in the 10 Ampere version is 20 millimeters slimmer than the predecessor model. It now comes with an overall width of just 70 millimeters instead of 90 millimeters, allowing simple integration into control cabinets. Users save a further 25 millimeters of space if they previously used a signal module for plant monitoring, as the new model features an integrated signaling contact.
The device also comes with efficiency in excess of 91 percent across the entire load range - an improvement of 4 percent over the predecessor model. This allows users to save energy and drive down costs. Users can expand the new power supplies on an individual basis with Sitop redundancy, selectivity and buffer modules as well as DC-UPS (uninterruptible DC power supply) modules, so further enhancing 24 Volt power supply reliability.
