For the second European university competition, B&R is looking for innovative concepts, creative solutions, practical applications and scientific research projects from all technical disciplines. To participate, the project must somehow incorporate POWERLINK technology into its concept. The open source implementation of openPOWERLINK is well suited for practical applications.
In June of 2010, the submitted ideas will be assessed by a distinguished jury of experts from the fields of research and commerce. The main prizes of 10,000 euros, 5,000 euros and 2,500 euros await the winners.
"For last year's award, over 26 promising submissions were clear proof of the high academic level and the extraordinary commitment of the students", explains Stefan Schönegger, B&R product manager and jury member. More information can be found on the B&R website.
