AMA Innovation Award 2012: Call for Submissions

The AMA Association for Sensor Technology (AMA) is calling for submissions for the AMA Innovation Award 2012. Requested are projects based on innovative, scientific developments with apparent marketability in the area of sensor and measuring technology. Both, individuals and developer teams, with innovative, outstanding research and development projects are welcome as candidates for the 10,000-euro award. The submission deadline is 16 January 2012.
The AMA Innovation Award has been conferred for twelve years for exceptional research and development achievements and is among the most coveted awards in sensor and measuring technology. Even beyond this area of endeavour, the award is considered as a hallmark of exceptional development with a high degree of market relevance. "Many of the contenders tell us that just being nominated for the AMA Innovation Award is enough to quickly get into interesting investment talks," says AMA general manager Thomas Simmons. That makes the AMA Innovation Award a springboard from R&D labs right into the application industries.
AMA accepts applications from individuals as well as from developer teams from anywhere on the globe. The conditions of participation and required forms in English and German can be downloaded free of charge from the AMA website at www.ama-sensorik.de.
Nominations will be announced at the AMA Annual Press Conference in February 2012. The award is to be presented at the opening ceremony of the SENSOR+TEST trade fair on 22 May 2012 in Nuremberg.
