The energy chain series E2/000 from igus can beopened on the left and right for easy cable installation, it can also beopened on the inside or outside of the radius, and is available in hundreds of versions ex-stock, for example as an open chain, half-tube or a completely enclosed tube. There is now a new Auto-Glide version available for long travels, a cost-saving version without the need for guide troughs. With the auto-glide mechanism the upper run of the energy chain is threaded onto the lower run and guided safely by special comb-like crossbars. The self-guiding chain crossbars can be opened on the inner radius. The new auto-glide crossbars have larger gliding surfaces, which further increases the service life of the energy chain system.
