Ratified by the European Parliament on February 2020 and by the Vietnamese National Assembly on June 8, 2020, the free trade agreement (FTA) signed on June 30, 2019, in Hanoi entered into force on August 1, 2020. Frequently quoted as the most ambitious agreement ever signed between the EU and a developing country, its main goal is to reduce tariff barriers by 99% in 10 years (mostly customs duties) and to significantly reduce non-tariff barriers.
In order to shed light on the investment possibilities for European manufacturers as well as on Vietnam's competitive advantages, Source of Asia, an international support company based in Ho Chi Minh City and BW Industrial, leading developer of industrial parks, are organizing a one-hour webinar. Followed by 30 minutes of Q&A, the event will take place on September 9, 2020 (10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. GMT).
