The C16i digital load cells come with an integrated 32-bit processor providing 256-bit encryption preventing interference from external influences such as EMC. It has a wide array of improved functions. Electronic off-center load compensation is easy to implement which is important for many typical applications, such as vehicle weighbridges. The procedure takes only a few minutes. A weight is applied to each corner of the platform and any mechanical off-center load error resulting fromuneven loading is immediately calculated and compensation automatically applied. By comparison, compensation can often take some hours and may require hardware modifications with conventional setups using analogue load cells. These load cells feature optional automatic status messages to a superior host system enabling defective sensors to be quickly located and replaced. The status messages ensure timely maintenance contributing to higher availability. The load cells are available with maximum capacities of 20 t, 30 t, 40 t, and 60 t.
