At Hannover Messe 2019, Atam introduced the new version of its proven 257 coil that has received Atex and IECEx certifications for gas and dust up to Zone 1- M2. The updated version features a new UL approved housing to improve the protection of the internal components including a precision thermo fuse placed in direct contact with the outer surface of the coil encapsulation. Even the encapsulation material has an improved resistance profile to meet all three glow wire tests and in accordance to ISO EN 60335-1 normative, allowing the utilization also in domestic appliances.
Pneumatic applications
Addressed to high demanding pneumatic applications and totally safe in potentially explosive atmosphere applications, such as those in mining the 257 coil stands out for another new characteristic: can be supplied with any cable length in order to allow customers to connect the valve with the most adequate one.
