Controlflex was designed especially for the requirements of shaft encoders, and the Compact series was developed for encoder applications where the coupling has to be integrated into a very tight axial space, for instance in a fixed housing. The anodised clamp hubs are balanced for high rpm applications. The middle element accomodates all kinds of misalignment with very low restoring forces.
