The new 13.49 40 mm DC motor family by Bühler Motor is characterized by a metal brush end shield and a shaft diameter of 5mm. A 7 slotted armature caters for maximum copper filling. In combination with the latest generation of ferrite magnets used, high power density is achieved. The output shaft of the motor can easily be modified to the specific customer demands. Not just the length but also the specific shape of the extensions on both sides of the motor guarantees a great flexibility in a wide range of applications. Drive elements like pinions and pulleys may be added without difficulty. Standard axial or radial lead wires allow additional mounting flexibility. Connectors may be added with desired length of the wires. The motors can be complemented with an optical or magnetic encoder as well as electromagnetic brakes or a combination with gear boxes. Three motor lengths guarantee a wide spectrum of power capability. Depending on the load conditions there is an offer of sleeve bearings or high quality ball bearings. A variety of solutions using chokes and capacitors ensure optimum electromagnetic compatibility.
