Hannover Fairs International GmbH, a subsidiary of Hannover-based Deutsche Messe, has signed a new agreement with the Russian Sverdlovsk Region. This new cooperation has the goal of promoting trade fair activities in the region, particularly in Yekaterinburg. The cooperation accord includes the organization of new trade fairs as well as the further development of existing exhibitions and conventions in the Sverdlovsk region in the following fields: transport; agricultural technology; heating, cooling and ventilation; safety, security and fire protection; health and lifestyle; mining; metallurgy; metalworking; machine tools and mechanical engineering; oil and gas equipment; petrochemicals; water supply and treatment plus waste water disposal; chemicals; environment and bioengineering; tourism; woodworking; information technology; and medicine.
Through its subsidiary “OOO Deutsche Messe RUS”, Deutsche Messe is already active in the Sverdlovsk region, organizing the LESPROM-Ural show from 23 to 26 September 2014 – a show which runs concurrently with EXPOMEBEL Ural at the Yekaterinburg expo grounds – as a joint project with the LLC Interregional Exhibition Company-Ural (IEC-Ural). LESPROM-Ural is the leading trade fair in the Ural region, serving as a marketing platform for domestic and foreign exhibitors and offering trade visitors an opportunity to become familiar with the latest machines and equipment as well as new, cutting-edge technologies for the woodworking and furniture industry.
Parallel to LESPROM-Ural, OOO Deutsche Messe RUS is also organizing the “100+Forum Russia 2014”, set to run from 23 to 26 September in Yekaterinburg with an affiliated expo on the theme of “High-rise Technology.”
As an additional step in developing the tradeshow venue, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Ural Federal District, OOO Deutsche Messe RUS and the RTE Group have signed a cooperation agreement to organize additional industrial trade fairs. The goal of the partnership is to organize an annual event covering different areas of industry and technology under the name “World of Industry/WIN RUSSIA URAL” at the IEC Yekaterinburg Expo Center from 2015 onward. The first event in 2015 will be dedicated to the topics of machine tools, welding and cutting and sheet metal working. Further topics like metallurgy, industrial automation and surface technologies are already in the planning.
