Digital Temperature Sensor

Based on the same chip as the previously introduced SHT2x family of humidity and temperature sensors, the STS21 temperature sensor comes in a DFN package measuring 3x3mm. Developed by Sensirion, it delivers an accuracy of ±0.22°C over 5 to 60°C temperature range. The device is pin and protocol compatible with the company’s SHT21 humidity snsor but has a different I²C address. It can thus be used as an alternate to STH21 in applications where temperature measurement is required and humidity measurement is optional. The temperature sensor is fully calibrated and provides a digital output.
