The Siko Magline linear and rotary measurement systems offer non-contact and wear free measurement technology for position and angle detection. A range of measurement solutions specially designed for the metrological requirements in tracking photovoltaic, solar and parabolic modules is available. Whether incremental or absolute, the system, with integrated evaluation technology, is easy to install. Readymade to customer specifications, a magnetic tape or a magnetic ring is fitted using adhesive or clamp mounting. Robust sensors, with an IP67 protection rating, scan the incremental or absolute measurements coded into the magnetic tape with no contact or wear. The measurement signals are transferred directly from the sensors to the controller. Uni- or bi-axial modules can therefore precisely track the Sun based on the measurement information. Unfavorable conditions such as heat, cold, condensation, humidity, dust or vibrations pose no problem.
