For the 8400 motec drive packages, Lenze combines its new inverter optimised L-force three-phase AC motors of the MF series, gearboxes, and the 8400 motec motor inverters. Inverter operation provides the basis to increase the motor power with a higher speed. The high ratio of the gearboxes on its part provides comparable torques. This drive solution is rendered possible because the gearbox input pinion is pressed into the motor output shaft in a friction-locked manner via taper interference fit and because it can therefore be considerably smaller than a gear wheel placed on the shaft.
