Combining functional safety with ATEX approval in a single unit, the Sendix absolute and multi-turn encoders are housed in flameproof enclosures. Suitable for zones 1, 2, 21, and 22, they can also be used in marine applications as their housing and flange are made of seawater-resistant aluminum. Manufactured by Kübler, the shock and vibration-resistant encoders have up to 17-bit (single turn) and 19-bit (multi-turn) resolution. Protected to IP67, they operate over -40 up to 60°C.The compact design with a space-saving cable outlet boasts an installation depth of only 145mm and a diameter of 70mm. Sendix SSI/BiSS absolute encoders with additional Sin/Cos output and Sendix incremental encoders in Sin/Cos version are available with SIL3/PLe certification. Their oversized fixing elements guarantee high reliability. The Sendix SIL encoders with Safety Lock design have extra stong bearings and offer a high degree of accuracy and long service life. Protected to IP67 standards, they employ optical scanning, which provides magnetic immunity.
