Parker Hannifin released its PSD series of servo drives, made for use in central control applications. The components use the latest fieldbus technology compatibility for flexible and fast communications with the controller, via EtherCAT, Ethernet IP and Profinet. This system fits a range of applications comprising highly dynamic packaging and production machinery. The integrated EtherCAT communication capabilities enable to avoid additional wiring.
A complete integrated safety system
The series features a fully programmable expansion module, Parker Safety PLC, that is integrated into the EtherCAT network. The user can directly connect external components to the I/O-Modules in order to activate features such as light curtains, emergency buttons or safety shut-off mats. System programming is made easier through the coordination of safety functionality from a central point. This system includes PAC Motion controller, Safety PLC, Safe I/Os and PSD-Drives with integrated safety.
