The eXLink explosion-proof mining Connector from Cooper Crouse-Hinds is certified for use in hazardous fire-damp areas. Electrical equipment in underground mines can now be more easily commissioned and decommissioned. Isolating and disconnection the equipment is no longer necessary. This means the installation, maintenance and repair of any electrical apparatus in firedamp areas can be carried out in a simple and safe way. This connector with armored cables allows electrical devices with power consumption up to 16A, such as light fittings, alarms, sensors, motors and drives, to simply be plugged in and out. The contact sockets of the connector are fitted with CEAG lamellar contacts made from punched, specially treated copper beryllium tape, ensuring a proper electrical connection.
