Suitable for use in cramped spaces, the latest member of the ferrite-core-free uprox+ family from Turck, the QP08 offers a high electromagnetic compatibility and magnetic field stability as well as ultimate switching distances for all metals. Housed in an IP 67 compliant plastic enclosure, the non-flush sensor guarantees time and cost savings, regarding installation and service. Since in its area of application aluminum is usually used as a target material, the factor-1-sensor reaches up to 300 % higher switching distances, compared to customary sensors. Capable of being installed directly onto metal, the sensor has little dead zones and a 10 mm switching distance. The boreholes are compatible with all Q08, and similar designs, allowing for a fast and uncomplicated replacement of customary sensor types. Measuring 32 x 20 x 8 mm, the compact sensor features large LEDs, on top and side face, that indicate operational readiness and its switching state.
