Featuring low profile in 2.54 mm grid sizes, the BL LP female headers from Fischer Elektronik are available in 12 variants including single and double row designs. Processing is possible by applying standard THT wave soldering and SMT. The contact is provided with complete nickel plating. In the gold plated versions the soldering area is tinned and only the contact are is gold plated, saving on the amount of precious metal used. The insulation body, which completely covers the contact spring to prevent accidental touch or incorrect plugging, is made from plastic that is resistant to high temperatures encountered in SMT soldering. The contacts, which have a stable soldering area, are made from spring bronze.
