Moeller's SmartWire Gateway is a fi eldbus coupler for the SmartWire connection system which makes it possible to connect up to 16 contactors, motor starter combinations or SmartWire I/O modules to the Modbus Remote Terminal Unit fi eldbus. It allows for error-free and fast control wiring, simple confi guration and reduction of input and output channels in the PLC. The data from the SmartWire slaves are provided in compressed and expanded data width up to 8 bytes per slave.
