Technical measures for the reduction of water consumption are not only ecologically meaningful, but are becoming more important economically. Requiring no auxiliary power, the all-metal BF series flow limiters from Meister Stroemungstechnik are particularly efficient. Whereas the versions BA, BB, and BC are screwed into pipelines, they are sandwiched between flanges, thusly simplifying installation, particularly in pipelines with large nominal values. The series are used wherever a constant flow is necessary, or the flow must be limited, regardless of pressure fluctuations. These applications also include those that must conserve water and energy through consumption-based limits. Made entirely of stainless steel, the BF series are suitable for hot water and a variety of water-like media. The flow is controlled through a combination of elements consisting of a flexible, star-shaped control element and a rigid measuring cone. The limiters are available in nominal sizes from DN 40 to DN 100. The regulating pressure range is between 2 and 10 bar. The smallest controllable standard flow rate is currently at 1 l/min, the maximum being 420 l/min. Special models are available on request.
