Frequency Inverter

GE’s VAT300 is a high-performance frequency inverter, with the latest technologies on both the software and hardware side. With a more compact design and a smaller footprint than the predecessor generation, it can handle motor performance ranges from 0.75 to 475kW for applications with normal overload, and 0.75 to 400kW for applications with high overload. In combination with standard asynchronous motors, it offers a high start moment of over 200% of the motorís rated moment. As an inverter for all controller types, the device’s multi-language user terminal offers multi-mode control, allowing for V/f (voltage/output frequency) control for constant and quadratic load moment and also vector-oriented control, either sensor-free or in a closed loop. The inverter not only controls asynchronous motors, but similarly demonstrates its strengths on infi nitely variable speed control of permanently-excited synchronizing servomotors, again in both open and closed loop arrangements.
