    Great Success for ABB Industrial Media Event in Dalmine, Italy

The 17th and 18th of May took place ABB Media event, held at ABB plant of Dalmine, Italy. The event, hosted by Electrification Products division, began at ABB site in Dalmine and participants had the possibility to take the tour of the Primary and Secondary Apparatus, the Test Lab, the Primary and Secondary Switchgear, try ABB Virtual Reality and visit the Smart Lab, a unique facility where pioneering technologies are put to the test. The latest available devices, systems and software for medium- and low-voltage are put through their paces to check their behavior in simulated smart-grid conditions.

Journalists also saw first-hand the most innovative solutions for improving energy efficiency and safety, as well as the latest technologies for state-of-the art manufacturing and grid reliability. Experience ABB working Industry 4.0 demos and learn more about its comprehensive offering for renewables. Discover the latest microgrid solutions for remote areas and merging markets.

Tarek Mehta, President of Electrification Products division, welcomed all guests presenting ABB pioneering technology, especially in Transport and Infrastructure. An expert on the future of cloud platforms, from Microsoft, shared its expertise to hightlight how things are becoming around us and this shapes the business digital transformation.

During the course of the event, an experienced team of experts were available to provide journalists with explanations, answers and translations of the main concepts presented mainly in English and Italian.

The event ended on Thursday 18th with the customer visit of Rubinetterie Bresciane - Bonomi SpA in Brescia.
