HANNOVER MESSE, the world's leading trade fair for integrated industry, is getting closer and closer again. This year, the event will take place from April 24th to 28th.
The exhibition lineup is truly comprehensive, spanning the full gamut of automation technology, from sensor systems to cobots, and including software for virtual product development and factory control, and all manner of solutions for end-to-end data connectivity and platforms for leveraging artificial intelligence.
"Hannover is the place to go if you want to see where the future of manufacturing is headed and how it all fits together," remarked Arno Reich, the director in charge of HANNOVER MESSE's automation-themed trade shows. "That's because Industrial Automation and Digital Factory are where manufacturers unveil their latest Industrie 4.0 innovations. And the big themes that will shape these shows at HANNOVER 2017 are digital twins, cobots and artificial intelligence," he added.
The main topics examined at the "Industrie 4.0 meets the Industrial Internet Forum" in 2017 are predictive maintenance, humans and work, SMEs, and users. This platform is being organized under this motto for the second time by Deutsche Messe in partnership with Germany's Industrie 4.0 Platform, the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), and German industry associations VDMA and ZVEI.
In 2016, HANNOVER MESSE attracted over 190,000 visitors (up from 175,000 in 2014 as the last event of comparable scope) intent on future-proofing their operations and investing in state-of-the-art technology. More than 50,000 of them came from abroad - an increase of some 25 percent over 2014. Attendance from the USA and China soared to record heights.
