Smooth and efficient operation of spark-ignition gas engines largely depends on clean and reliable ignition performance. After years of working with Motortech on various components, 2G is now using that company's ignition technology in serial production. Motortech components are now being used in all filius, patruus (formerly 2G-CHP) and agenitor series engines, as well as in the avus 500 plus. The ignition system used, the MIC4 control unit, meets particularly well the increasingly demanding requirements for combined heat and power plants in general.
Aside from reliable plant operation and high efficiency levels, other major factors with combined heat and power plants include flexible operation modes, shutdown processes, faster start-up curves, etc. The MIC4 is unbeatable when it comes to parameterization and ignition settings. Its ideal features, such as adjustable ignition energy, adapted ignition times and settable ignition duration, make the MIC4 ignition system a perfect match for our own development work. What's more, the adapted settings also guarantee dependable ignition during lean operation and start-ups.
