Featuring up to four 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) ports and a maximum of 48 total Gigabit Ethernet ports, Moxa’s ICS-G7848/G7850/G7852 Layer 3 and ICS-G7748/G7750/G7752 Layer 2 industrial core switches are aimed for the core layer of industrial networks. They are ideal for high performance and non-stop control center networking environments, as they also feature flexible hot-swappable modular and reliable fanless design, as well as under 50 ms recovery time. For higher bandwidths the rack-optimized switches are capable of aggregating multiple 10GbE ports into a single pipe. Both series can be equipped with up to 48 Gigabit SFP slots and four 10GbE SFP slots for reliable fiber connectivity. The high serviceability features comprises 110/220 VAC dual isolated hot-swappable power supplies for power redundancy and up to 12 hot-swappable Gigabit Ethernet media modules for uninterrupted service. The switches are optimized for maximizing system availability with both layer 2 and 3 redundancy features such as the company’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (fast recovery time < 50 ms), 802.1D RSTP/STP, and VRRP, as well as dual images for resilient firmware upgrades to ensure system continuity and enhance network productivity. They support IEEE 1588 PTP, Modbus/TCP, LLDP, SNMP Inform, QoS, IGMP snooping, VLAN, IEEE 802.1X, HTTPS, SNMPv3, and SSH. Operating temperature range is 0 to 60 °C.
