With the Xi Compact Line, Optris combines the advantages of precise thermal imagers with the benefits of infrared thermometers. The compact infrared camera Xi 640 VGA offers comprehensive, non-contact condition monitoring for industrial applications. With a high optical resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a frame rate of 32 Hz in the spectral range of 8-14 µm, the VGA infrared camera can be used to monitor fast thermal processes at temperatures between -20 °C and 900 °C. Optris has equipped the Xi 640 with an "Auto Spot Finder" function. This allows the temperature of moving objects to be measured without having to readjust the camera.
Motorized focus for sharp images
The Xi 640, like the other five models in the Xi family, has a motorised focus. This allows easy focusing from a distance. Image processing is carried out using the free PIX Connect software with line scan function, which is also included. Key parameters are configured via a USB 2.0 interface; a USB-to-GigE converter is optional. The camera is supplied with a process interface cable and a USB cable. As standard, the camera can be used in ambient temperatures between 0°C and 50°C. Optris offers a wide range of accessories for the camera, from air purge units and mounting brackets to water-cooled housings for ambient temperatures up to 250°C.
