Optris Compact Line released two IR cameras, the Xi 80 and Xi 400, with industrial accessories: water cooled housing, air purge unit and shutter. All these features are part of modular designed system and can be employed both individually and combined for use in rough conditions. The stainless-steel shutter mechanism is used to protect the IR camera optics from contamination and foreign objects. The two models are also protected from falling broken glass thanks to a response time of 100 ms. Besides, the shutter can be used in intermittent processes in order to expose the optics only during measurement process.
Extended protection and operating temperature range
Thanks to the cooling feature, the cameras can work in environments up to 250°C. The air purge unit serves as a protection against air particles and prevents condensation on the optics. This can be screwed on in 4 positions to enable the air flow to be customized. The air purge unit also includes a silicone window that can be easily replaced in case of mechanical damage.
