ABB brings you the new interface protection relay CM-UFD.M22 (IPS - Interface Protection System), conforming to CEI 0-21, June 2012 edition. The CM-UFD.M22 is designed to monitor the voltage and frequency of the distribution network, separating the network from the generating plant by means of the DDI every time the measurements taken are outside the thresholds set.
The relay has important advantages in a single device, the main ones including:
- compact, modular design (installable on a DIN rail);
- wide ranging backup power with switching technology (24-240V ac/dc) promoting integration of 5s external backup (LVFRT) using supercapacitor power buffers or UPS;
- delayable additional output for controlling a second interface device (DDI) or the motor of a switch with release coil.
Plus, high measuring precision (voltage and frequency) with true RMS, selectable rate of change of frequency protection (81R), neutral conductor monitoring, selectable network rated voltage, setting of protection thresholds and non-volatile saving of the last 99 events (error cause and chronology).
