Italy will be the focus of attention at HANNOVER MESSE from 19- 23 April 2010. Speaking at the signing of the Partner Country agreement in Rome on 16th November, Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice-President of HANNOVER MESSE, said: "Bringing Italy on board as our Partner Country means that we have a powerful ally for HANNOVER MESSE." He added: "We are confident that Italy's strengths and industrial prowess will be demonstrated by an impressive presentation at the Exhibition Grounds in Hannover."
Italy's chief technological strengths are primarily in the fields of industrial automation, industrial subcontracting and outsourcing, power transmission and control technology, as well as energy technology, mechanical and plant engineering. Pech concludes: "The new Partner Country agreement will lead to numerous new business contacts and open up further prospects for business, not only in Italy." He was keen to stress that "companies with efficient, innovative and sustainable products and technology will find that even during difficult economic periods HANNOVER MESSE offers the ideal atmosphere for doing business. The event is an invaluable source of business leads and opens up opportunities to tap new market potential."
