NSI presents a new keyboard which is part of their Duralight LED backlit keyboard series. The unit uses high brightness white LED's and fibre optics, lighting not just the key legends, but also the key edges, the trackball contour and even possible customer logo's or trademarks. Using low power LED's warrants for a long life while an external power supply is not necessary; the power from the keyboard port being sufficient. The illumination intensity can be controlled by two dedicated UP and DOWN keys. This illumination setting is stored at power off. The keyboard uses short travel switches with low pressure and positive tactile feedback. It consists of 38 numeric, function and control keys and an integrated compact 38 mm trackball with IP65 sealing grade. The compact but well defined key layout combined with an industrial grade trackball enables a fast and comfortable access to the most important machine commands and an accurate control of the cursor. The total is covered by a hardened polyester overlay which is resistant to liquids, oils, most acids and scratches.
