Basler released the CoaXPress 2.0 (CXP-12) new evaluation kit for the Basler boost series. It consists of a Basler boost camera, the corresponding Basler CXP-12 interface card and the CXP-12 accessory starter kit. They enable to reduce the cost of the evaluation phase and make it faster. Regarding the activation, the pylon Camera Software Suite serve as an SDK for the camera as well as for the interface card. Through the CoaXPress 2.0 standard, Basler boost cameras achieve a bandwidth of up to 12.5 Gbits with a single CXP-12 cable. The accurate triggering with the CXP cable eliminates the need for a separate I/O cable, making a single-cable solution possible in combination with power-over-CXP (PoCXP).
Optimal evaluation of the boost camera and the CXP-12 interface card for an efficient integration
The CXP-12 interface card was specifically developed for the combination with the boost camera. Its interface card connects the camera via one CXP-12 channel for smooth image data transfers. The components can be controlled through the pylon Camera Software Suite to create a perfect unit for fast and affordable evaluations and integrations into the application. The CXP-12 Starter Kit includes a CXP data cable, two heat sinks for the optimal heat management of the camera outside of the image processing system, a C-mount lens adapter and an I/O cable to externally trigger the camera.
