Utilizing triangulation measurement principle to determine an object’s height and width, the LineRunner 300 (LR300) laser sensor from Pepperl+Fuchs overcomes the challenges of path correction, edge or gap measurement, volume measurement or tolerance verification. It can process even the most problematic color and contrast characteristics by exposure time control. Conforming to laser Class 1 protection, the sensor meets workplace safety requirements. Measured values, in mm, are delivered via an Ethernet interface, which allows direct connection to an evaluation system.
