Using latest generation of laser trackballs, the TSX50 series from NSI is waterproof to IP 68 standards. Its 50 mm ball comes with a removable top ring that facilitates cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and maintenance. This ensures continued optimum performance and operation under the harshest of conditions. The use of stainless steel for various parts guarantees resistance to salty or greasy environments. Available in nine different versions, the trackballs are directly plug and play compatible with PS/2 or USB ports and do not require any specific drivers. Users can opt for panel mounting version with studs or with mounting holes for countersunk M4 screws or for an enclosed version of the trackball. All panel mount versions are supplied with a silicone sponge seal. A cover plate on the rear side protects the components. A choice of IP 65 pushbutton or IP 68 short travel switches is available. Furthermore, users can choose between blank or black painted steel carrier plates. The robust trackballs are suited as pointing devices for both indoor and outdoor harsh or hostile environments including in information kiosks, internet/entertainment terminals, navigation controls, food industry, and processing industries.
