For application in outside plant installations and vehicle, machine and plant construction Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH has developed the MNI40 magnetic incremental rotary encoder, a measuring system that assures quality through complete self-diagnosis, by including the magnetic wheel in the function testing process. This magnetic incremental rotary encoder allows for easy installation and checking through assistance functions and the clear verification of functions via a 2-color LED display. Thanks to the elastomer coating of the magnetic wheel it is resistant to dirt as well as thermal and mechanical shock.
