Enemac provides a broad range of mechanical torque limiters designed to protect from overload high-quality machine components in the drive chain. These torque limiters can interrupt the torque transmission within seconds. The separation of drive and output is purely mechanical and is consequently independent of power failures and similar faults. Some variants are available such as the axially short-built safety coupling ECU, designed for narrow installation space. This isolates exactly to the point thanks to the use of disc springs which ensure a large setting range without the need of changing the discs.
The ECU is fastened to the shaft with a keyway connection to keep it as compact as possible
The one-tab location per revolution in the ball-lock principle ensures separation of the drive chain within a few angular degrees and the automatic re-engagement after 360°. Through the use of a proximity switch, the user can request the stroke of the balls, and the resulting signal can be given to the control, which shuts down the drive. Furthermore, 18 sizes from 1.8 Nm to 9 000 Nm disengagement torque are available. The shaft can provide a diameter of up to 110 mm, but smaller bore diameters are also available on request.
