Enemac released the metal bellows coupling type EWM to help the designer in its concept and the assemblyman in its work. The EWM is made of two parts. The first part has a longer side made of an aluminum hub that is connected to stainless steel bellows. A centering collar with tapered groove indicated is located at the free end of the bellows. The shorter side includes the second aluminum hub and a conical lug. The collar guarantees precise alignments of the two hub halves.
Up to 80% of installation time can be saved thanks to type EWM
In case of serial application, the assembly can also be simplified by using a fitted ring. The coupling can be plugged before the installation of the engine on the engine, then it gets “moved together” later. Moreover, in case the hub and the keyway are not immediately consolidated, the hub will not be deformed but the bellows (elastic) will be pressed around several mm. The coupling can be simply extracted. It is available in 9 different sizes from 10 Nm to 600 Nm. It delivers an axial offset compensation between 0.5 and 0.8 mm, and a lateral offset compensation between 0.15 mm and 0.20 mm. The aluminum-anodized all-metal design can be used in a temperature range between -40°C and +300°C.
