They are a key provider of automation and production technology solutions and collaborate closely to address industry challenges such as improved productivity, increased overall equipment effectiveness and greater production line flexibility.
The Smart Carriage
The collaboration has already developed an innovative carriage technology. It is designed to operate with a dedicated linear transfer system. The Smart Carriage delivers integrated power for on-board intelligence and carriage equipment. It provides the ability to switch between parallel tracks on production lines, which enables multiple operations on different products, offering more flexible and efficient 'production on demand' driven assembly sequences.
Technology package
The Smart Carriage technology package was first demonstrated on the Mitsubishi Electric stand at the popular German trade show for automation products SPS IPC Drives Nuremberg last November.
