Operator Terminals

Integrating enhanced 600MHz RISC OMAP processors and high-contrast displays, the PMImicro diag operator terminals from Pilz are available in 3.5 and 5.7” display sizes. They are used for diagnostics and visualization on plant and machinery in conjunction with the programmable systems PSS, the safe bus systems SafetyBUS p and the configurable control systems PNOZmulti/PNOZmulti Min. Available with an Ethernet interface, the compact and easy to operate terminals offer the full functionality of the PVIS diagnostic concept, which provides clear, plain-text diagnostic messages that are output on a high-quality color TFT display. On the configurable PNOZmulti safety system, the user can transfer all pre-defined diagnostic messages to the PNOZmulti Configurator with the click of a mouse. With the PSS control systems, the diagnostic messages can be inserted directly via the PSS WIN-PRO configuration software. These pre-defined diagnostic texts can be adapted to suit the application or can be completely reformulated. A rapid restart of plant and machinery is guaranteed thanks to specific, plain-text error descriptions, step-by-step solution proposals, definition of responsibilities and clear information on error location. Operation is either via touchscreen/keys on the PMI 509 or via the touchscreen on the PMI 515.
