The RL31-8-H photoelectric sensor from Pepperl+Fuchs combines the benefits of the triangulation principle with the measuring functionality of a distance sensor. A variety of switching functions is available on this photoelectric sensor. It has a sensing range of up to 800 mm and a continued small BW/WB differential up to the final detection range. A PowerBeam light source with a very bright, clearly visible red light spot, makes reliable detection of dark objects possible without losing accuracy and repeatability. The sensor is equipped with an IO-Link interface and with functions such as: background suppression, background evaluation, foreground and background suppression and hysteresis mode.
