Featuring critical value default setting in a two-line LCD, an integrated target/actual value comparison and signaling of the positioning state by using two-color LED, the AP04 bus-compatible digital position indicator from Siko allows significant reduction in provisioning times. Offering guided semi-automatic adjustment, it allows more flexible and reliable spindle positioning, which is usually carried out with mechanical counting devices. The position indicator is optionally available with IP 65 protection for applications under difficult ambient conditions. The stainless steel hollow shaft included in the base unit is suitable for wet applications, as those found in glass or metal processing machines as well as food packaging machines. For even more extreme ambient conditions, a sister product, AP04S, offers external measuring sensors protected to IP 67.
