netLINK PROXY Profibus-DP slaves from Hilscher can be integrated into a Profinet network thanks to a plug that operates as a Profinet IO-device. The plug maps the process data from the DP-slave to the Profinet-enabled device. The integration in the controller's configuration is very simple because the GSDML-files are automatically generated. Equipment that is already in use can remain fully operational when the Profibus devices are being re-designed or when plant networks are being upgraded. The DP-slave power unit also provides the 24 V power needed for the netLINK.
