Contelec's redundant Vert-X 51 rotary sensor is equipped with a CANopen interface and with a German Lloyd-certified angle sensor for maritime applications. The rugged sensor uses Vert-X technology and offers complete electrical redundancy thanks to 2 separate measuring systems, electrically separated feeds and 2 independent outputs. This duplication approach guarantees safety in maritime steering applications. These rotary sensors offer a ±0.1% linearity, 0.1° repeatability and 16-bit resolution. They have a high degree of flexibility, a modular structure and a powerful processor unit.
