The viewing direction of smart cameras can be tilted by 90° by the right-angle head adapter from Vision Components. This makes it easier to integrate small image processing systems into space limited industrial applications. This right-angle head adapter features a protective housing with head dimensions of 50 x 35 mm. The images are recorded by a CCD or CMOS sensor, integrated into the camera head and connected to the processing electronics via a flexible flat cable. The adapter is bolted to the camera head and housing and makes the smart cameras resistant to vibrations, shocks and rugged environmental conditions.
