Suitable for all areas of factory automation, the programmable SafeLogic compact safety control from Bosch Rexroth meets the requirements for SIL 3 in accordance with EN 62061 and Cat. 4 PL e in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1. Comprising a safety CPU, I/Os and relays, and interface modules, it grows with the scope of periphery signals, is easily configured, and can be programmed via graphical wiring for function blocks. The SafeLogic Designer tool assists in planning, programming, and commissioning for quick and easy adaptation to the individual application. A comprehensive function block library simplifies standards-compliant implementation via graphical wiring. Integrated offline simulation facilitates troubleshooting and verifying the application. To configure periphery, the user simply assigns the sensors and actuators to the inputs and outputs by dragging and dropping them from the library. In assigning periphery components, the parameter settings required for evaluation and error detection are defined. The reporting function makes it easier to provide complete documentation for validating. The system is designed to provide the highest level of user friendliness. This applies to the entire lifecycle of components up to and including servicing. All information is saved to a memory stick and can be easily transferred to the new control in cases that require a component to be exchanged. SafeLogic compact can be quickly integrated in the overall automation process. Safety switches, contactors, valves, and the safety functions offered by the IndraDrive electric drive series can be connected directly. Interface modules such as PROFIBUS and PROFINET enable the exchange of control and status information between the safety and standard control. Up to four SafeLogic compact controls can also be securely networked to exchange safety-relevant data.
