Capable of switching up to 8A, the OA5642, OA5643, and OA5644 forcibly guided safety relays from Dold have 10.3 mm height and are among the flattest on the market. Depending on the number of contacts, the magnet coil consumes as little as 0.4, 0.5, or 0.65 W. The power consumption may be reduced to 25% of the pickup power after the relay is switched on. This is desirable for high package density in temperature sensitive environments. SMD components may be placed between the PCB and the relays. The series OA5642 allows variable contact arrangements. The user may choose between different contact materials and designs for one contact set and also from mixed arrangements. Hence, relays may be adapted to specific requirements. The standard relay is wash proof (RT III) and temperature stable up to 85°C. It can be processed in lead free soldering equipment.
