Yokogawa released the FAST/TOOLS R10.04 as part of its Oprex Control and Safety System family. It is a flexible and scalable supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solution that suits smart IoT-enabled applications and enterprise-wide integrated operations spanning multiple sites and subsystems. It fits for areas like oil and gas upstream, midstream gas and liquid pipelines, petrochemicals, chemicals, renewable energy, power, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals, food, mining, iron and steel, water distribution and wastewater treatment.

The software enhances sub-system integration with the CENTUM VP integrated production control system, and improves security and integrity thanks to the centralization of authentication and authorization services, which enhance audit trailing and user management. Furthermore, the FAST/TOOLS graphics editor can generate native displays to the HTML5 standard to simplify the creation of screens that deliver the data operators require.
