The Motionnet serial communication networking system from Nippon Pulse, strongly reduces wiring and provides input/output control, motor control, CPU emulation, and message communication. The network system transfers four bytes of data in 15.1 µsec using cyclical communication to control both input and output. The G9001A chip is the system’s center device and can control up to 64 local devices. Consisting of 256 bytes of RAM for I/O control, the G9001A also has 512 bytes of RAM for data and can support a maximum 256 bytes of data communication within local data devices. A 64-pin QFP, the G9001A device has a maximum communication speed of 20Mbps.
