Servo Controller

Baumüller has developed a new compact and robust servo controller with a power spectrum of 1.1. to 315 Kilowatt, the b maXX 4000. The new model from the b maXX range is individually preconfigured and tested for the customers. The user gets the made-to-measure equipment and computing power that is required for the particular application, no more no less. The new controller is available in seven different sizes. This range covers the whole spectrum of requirements from simple standard applications in the automation sector to extremely complex multiple solutions with highly synchronous motion applications. The open field bus architecture of the servo controller makes it multi-ethernet capable. This makes the benefit of various different field bus systems available to the user. He thus has the facility for realtime communication at field level and benefits from greater flexibility. The equipment can therefore be integrated smoothly into any machine architecture. Fitted with the STO function in accordance with the standards EN 62061 and EN ISO 13849-1, the product meets the safety requirements of the Machinery Guideline 2006/42/EU to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 and to Performance Level e.
