ITT's Enidine presents the HD/HDN shock absorbers incorporate an internal, air charged bladder accumulator, which replaces mechanical return springs and provides a shorter length and reduced weight. HD/HDN buffers are installed in the logistics systems of warehouses, as well as on container cranes at sea and inland ports. They protect the cranes and trolleys from hitting the end of their respective tracks when moving across the container yard.
ITT Enidine HD/HDN Series shock absorbers decelerate the energy capacity loads, which for some applications can reach 900 kJ per cycle. The shocks have an operating range of between -40°C and 100°C. ITT's heavy duty industrial shock absorbers come in a wide variety of configurations, including bellows, clevis mounts and safety cables. ITT's heavy duty hydraulic shock absorbers are fully field-repairable.
The Jarret Series Buffer was designed specifically for handling heavy loads and energies on platform decks in the North Sea. For work with Aibel, a customized version of this buffer was designed to be used on barrier oil platforms to prevent damage to cargo when moving with high winds and rough sea.
These buffers are installed on oil platforms at Statoil and Sverdrup in the North Sea, close to the coast of Norway. They are designed for use in rough environmental conditions, have a lifetime of up to 20 years and can withstand continuous salt spray and ocean air.
