Simulink PLC Coder

MathWorks introduced Simulink PLC Coder, extending Model-Based Design for industrial automation. It helps creating IEC source code in structured text using Simulink models that can be integrated into B&R's Automation Studio. Development processes can be shortened and design workflows can be made more efficient thanks to Model-Based Design in combination with automatic code generation. Simulation allows for design errors to be detected faster. Model tested algorithms can be easily transferred to the industrial controller. This allows for valuable development resources to be used more efficiently and more cost effective.
